How does a 570 do with 5 passengers?

My 2008 700XP is giving me continued problems and I'm considering getting a new UTV. We have a little over 50 acres so not a huge plot but there is some traveling around the place.

The 700xp always had decent grunt. Has anyone driven the 570 fully loaded with 5 adults and gear? Does it struggle to get up to a normal cruising speed of say 30mph?

jj, a one lunger 570 will kick the azz of a 700 power wise. I hate to say it but the 570 crew six here will beat my 700 in competition. I just cant stand the 'limp' idle sound a one lunger 570 makes..o_O

That's surprising. Just figured a 700 twin would run better than a 570 single. Ideally I'd like a deal on a 1000 SOHC but those seem hard to find and I don't want to finance a $15k rig.

I appreciate your help that you gave on my 700xp. Unfortunately it's still doing the bogging thing and I keep throwing more parts at it to no avail. Just did a new fuel pump and injectors and got nothing.

It depends on the weight of the people and gear. I believe the payload is only 1000 lbs or so. The XD is about 1600 lbs. I think you'll be out of payload before you have a problem going 30. My 570 will easily do 45 on paved roads. I only know because I drove it to town the other day. Otherwise, I'm usually driving less than 30.

I haven't tried to go 30 with a load of firewood, but my 570 doesn't struggle at all. However, that's also in L. I'm not sure what the max speed is in L.

There is a bit of a difference in the full-size 570 vs the midsize like I have.

The 570 would give the xp 800 a run for its money. You won’t be down on power if you switch.

As jimh406 states, weight is a factor but desired speed is also a factor. You can put a lot of weight in a 570 and it will still go in low range. In other words, you're not going to stall it in low range. As long as 10 MPH or so and engine noise isn't an issue the 570 will go just fine with 5 passengers.

To add. I don’t know if you’re looking at the full size?
But the 570 springs are on the weaker side to begin with. And it doesn’t take long for the factory springs to start sagging and sack out . If you plan on 5 passengers … I would plan on installing a set of aftermarket heavy duty springs right from the get go.

Yes, change the springs, the OEM springs are limpy..................... Go EPI or HighLifter..
